NexVentur is looking for hire a Purchaser for a growing client based in the manufacturing industry.

The role will be based in Roscommon town.

Role and Requirements

• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms and agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information on our ERP System.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
• Work closely with project managers to ensure materials align with project timelines.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers
• Processing of all sales orders on our ERP System.
• Preparation of daily back-order report and updating of all due dates for back-order lines.
• Switching of lines to alternative suppliers where appropriate.
• Liaise with Customer Service to close any customer related queries.
• Ensure all orders are maintained with the correct PO and price details.
• Secure best pricing through negotiating directly with suppliers.
• Work closely with Stock Controller to maintain inventory levels and forecast future needs to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
• Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain.
• Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may affect procurement processes.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• 3+ years experience in a Purchasing role
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Purchasing Software
• Impeccable time-management and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to think and prioritize strategically.
• Driven to continuously improve work practices
