NexVentur is urgently looking to hire a Traffic Manager to work with an established surveying company in Sydney, Australia.

Our client set up its own internal Traffic Control team in 2017 to service internal needs and have grown to a team of 7 people with 3 Traffic Control utes.
We are looking for a highly driven, energetic and committed Traffic Control Manager to expand this division and satisfy internal Traffic Control needs and grow business externally.

Our client works in a fast paced industry, and there will be opportunities to progress into business management for the right candidate.

Work will be carried out all over NSW in sectors such as roads, highways, airports, railways, ports, building sites. There are many challenges to overcome but there are high satisfaction levels upon successful project delivery.

Role and responsibilities

The Traffic Control Manager will:

• Oversee the Traffic Controllers
• Develop TGS/TMP/PMPs
• Manage ROL applications
• Schedule jobs and manage standalone TC projects
• Ensure vehicles are being maintained as per policies
• Offer Professional Traffic Control advice both internally and externally.

Other tasks will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions involving Traffic Control
• Undertaking regular inspections and audits of the traffic control measures
• Ensuring traffic control measures are established, implemented, and maintained in
  accordance with the plans
• Developing strategies to ensure traffic management is measured, planned and implemented
  in accordance with best practices and to ensure the health and safety standards and
  regulations are consistently maintained
• Managing profit and loss responsibilities for the Traffic Control division

Skills & experience

• It is essential that all staff are disciplined and responsible as well as being creative and very good at problem solving.
• Our client work both day and nightshift and occasional weekends and employees need to be flexible in this regard.
• All applicants need to have a visa that enables them to work full time in Australia with no restrictions.
